75 drafts of Thomas Gray's poem, "Elegy written in a Country churchyard," may be seen in the British Museum. The poet did not like the way he wrote it the first time, nor the second, nor the third. He was satisfied only when he had written the poem over and over 75 times! -J. Maurus, 'Anecdotes of the Great'

There are many things we tend to get tired of in life. One of them is routine or repetition. We wake up, work, school, do this and that, and then sleep - then the cycle begins anew. There are those who feel life, thus, is boring. It is not for nothing, however, that God has ordered life in this manner. Every day we get new opportunities to do better, learn new things, achieve hitherto  missed goals and what have you.

The pages of our lives are written daily, you see, and every new day offers us fresh avenues to at least go one better compared to the day before. Like with Thomas Gray's poem, therefore, we are to consider every new day as a gift - making it possible for us to perfect what must be done and become what we ought to - to keep bettering ourselves and drawing ever closer to God's purpose for our lives. Do not be averse to living life daily; every day comes with its own unique beauty. Make the most of it!

"EVERYBODY IS LOOKING FOR INSTANT SUCCESS, BUT IT DOESN'T WORK THAT WAY. YOU BUILD A SUCCESSFUL LIFE ONE DAY AT A TIME." -Lou Holtz
